Cranbrook Welcomes a New Minister

Cranbrook United Church is pleased to announce that we have a new Minister, Rhonda Pigott who officially started with us on July 1.

Rhonda is a Designated Lay Pastor who comes to us from Alberta.

All of us at the United Church welcome Rhonda to our congregation and look forward to her leadership and fellowship.

Rhonda began her time with us as Minister  starting July 1,2008.

Rhonda looks forward to meeting her Cranbrook congregation.

It is being played Monday - Friday at 12:00. directed by Charlotte Ternoway. We hope you enjoy listening to it.

Did you Know?

That every member of the congregation is invited to attend the Council meetings.  We would welcome your participation and we offer an open invitation to attend.

 

 

Sunday Morning Worship

Come and Join us for worship each Sunday morning at 10:00.  We try to worship in a way that is inclusive and respectful of everyone's need.  We are using "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum which follows the lectionary scripture readings of the morning, and our children are exploring the same scriptures as the adults.  Within our service we have "Community Time".  This is a time for the young and young at heart to gather for a few minutes with the minister or special guest to hear the message in more down to earth way.

Come early and chat with your friends and neighbours or visit after church over a "cup of" with our church family, friends and neighbours.  Everyone is welcome.

Sunday School is held on the first and third Sunday of each month.  We would love to see your children attending.

Covenanting Service

On the evening of September 12th the Kootenay Presbytery, Cranbrook United Church and Rhonda Pigott held a service of covenanting to recognize the new relationship of Rhonda's ministry in Cranbrook.

The service was presided by Rev David Boyd from Nelson, and the sermon presented by Rev Barbara Langton. Kootenay Presbytery Chair Hilary Bitten of Nakusp led the presentation of symbols of Ministry and saying of promises. Hilary and Rhonda presided over the communion portion of the service.

The service was followed by a time of celebration, with many members of the congregation and Presbytery offering Rhonda their support and blessings.
