Outreach

As a Church, we are more than just our "beliefs", we are active in the World.  Outreach represents the many ways we show our faith in our local, national and international worlds. From the homeless to people in other parts of the world. We show our support.

Wednesday Breakfast

We are in need of people to work once a month at our Wednesday Breakfast.  Please sign up on the door to the kitchen if you would like to help.

8:30  - 10:00 Every Wednesday breakfast is served by a different church each week.  Those who participate are Lutheran Church, First Baptist Church, Anglican Church and United Church.  These people who volunteer make these breakfasts possible.  Thanks to all our volunteers

The Cellar

The Cellar is the main source of funds for the United Church Women.  In the past the money has been used for...

Buying supplies for the church kitchen (coffee, new dishes etc.

Sending cards to those who are in hospital, birthday cards to the over 80 and sympathy cards to the bereaved.

Donations to the General Fund of our Church.

Special items for the church such as curtains and 
  dishwasher, stove.

Monthly donation to the Food Bank ($2,400 per year)

Flowers for the church for special occasions,

Donation to Mission & Service Fund ($3,000 annually)

Donation to Rock Lake Camp ($500.00 annually).

First United Mission in Vancouver ($1,250.00).

Paying for your subscription to the national Church
  magazine "The Observer" ($1,600.00 per year.)

Many, many other projects.

The cost to operate "The Cellar" are increasing and the number of volunteers to operate it are decreasing.  If you would like to see this important ministry continue, please call Christine Shipp to volunteer.

Thank You To Our Volunteers

Jim & Keitha Pascuzzo faithfully put out clothing every Wednesday morning for the homeless people.  The clothing is free and donated by various people and the Cellar to people in need. Without their help and tireless dedication this would not be possible.  So Hats off to our dedicated volunteers!
